I received my Kindle for Christmas and I have been happy ever since. I love reading and I love to take books with me everywhere I go–Now I can do that without a separate suitcase! I have been impressed with the speed with which my books are downloaded. I like the large variety and the opportunity to “shop the store.” I have almost given up buying hard copies of books–but I am finding myself getting them to share with family and friends who don’t have a Kindle. I could sell them each on a Kindle if I could share from my Kindle to theirs–is that a future option? What I would like to see that my Kindle doesn’t have is the ability to read in the dark without a night light and the ability to get books from a library. Otherwise, I am extremely pleased with my Kindle.

I haven’t finished yet, but when I do I know I will be reading it again! This author just pulls you in and makes you feel right at home. So refreshing – so rewarding. When I reach the last page of The Help I will be ready for another Kathryn Stockett novel.

I’m just curious why there are many of you who believe God wrote the Holy Bible when it was clearly written by men such as Neale as well.

I believed the book to be extremely loving and has given a sense of peace within my life. God is loving and if he is loving I don’t believe he can be vengeful and wrathful as well. He or we created ourselves to experience life in all spectrum’s of life and although I also do not agree with some of the ideas, the premise makes logical and spiritual sense with me.

Appearance is nice, a bit on the heavy side but it would feel kind of flimsy if it weren’t so solid. Step-on technology works, no dropping the scale. The unfortunate downside to this is when your roommate throws her clothes on top of it and it stays on all night, eating up the battery life. Gives consistent readings close to one another day-to-day, doesn’t seem to be too greatly impacted by where in the room you put it. Really like the light-up screen, which makes it easier to read.

Does, however, give a reading that seems to be around 0.8 lbs heavier (full clothed) than what a Weight Watchers center scale or doctors office scale would give. So I’d call it ‘accurate within 1 lb’, not accurate within the 0.2 lb.

Definitely a great improvement over an analog scale though. No difficulty figuring out exactly which notch on the scale is the one you should be reading depending on how you’re looking down at the scales, no problem with making sure the scale is properly tared to zero. (Although I’d appreciate a tare function for weighing the cat/verification of accuracy, which this scale lacks.)

I have noticed that if it’s not on a flat surface/not a place where it can read accurately, it will say “4.6 lb” when you step off. Move it to a better place and it will read “0.0″ when you step off, before it shuts down.

Good product overall and would recommend, but it loses a star for being less accurate than it claims.

I love this book because I can read it once a decade since I first encountered it in high school so many years
ago and like it just the same. Holden is forever lively, silly, young and engaging–and it still makes me
shake my head when I remind myself that the story takes place in the late 1940’s. Goes to show you things
really do not change–especially, the sporadic emotions of teens. But I need to say while Salinger’s little
novel is engaging, it is limited. I can understand why people are questioning its immense popularity.
Holden’s journey is just a “slice of life” and not a full story that merits classic fiction.

We were having a BIG shedding problem with our Lab at home. We used several other grooming and shedding tools with her, but it was still a problem. With the Furminator, the problem is simply GONE. And our dog loves it too!
