Artemis Fowl captivated me with his outrageous schemes and high-tech skills. I really got hooked on the scary fight with an enraged troll and the dangerous actions of an earth-gulping dwarf. The novel moves at the pace of a video game, pinging between battles and secrets revealed. I especially enjoyed the high-tech fairies, with their futurist’s gadgets and cranky suspicions about humans. The novel is also appealing if you enjoy breaking codes and sarcastic dialogue. My favorite character is Foley, a centaur with a smart mouth and the inventive talents of a next-generation Gyro Gearloose. I was caught up in the jeopardy of the story and am definitely going to read the series. I found it intriguing to have such an ambiguous main character. Artemis is a shady criminal, with unashamed greed, yet he’s also a lost boy without anywhere to belong. It will be intriguing to see his personality evolve in the next book.

I bought this card so I could take longer HD videos with my camera and replace the 1GB card I took from my mp3 player.

I needed a Class VI speed SDHC memory card with a fair amount of space. This product has what I needed, and works great. The only thing I don’t like about it now is (my fault) that I cannot format the card directly from my XP computer. I accidentally pulled it out, without safely ejecting it first, and now it can only be read by the camera. I can still use it (and still like it), I just wish I had ‘ejected’ it before removing it. (Originally, my computer read the SDHC card just fine).

My advice, this is a good product, especially with the Frustration Free packaging from Amazon, it will work, as long as you always ‘Eject’ the card before removing it.

Otherwise I have no complaints, it works fine for me.

I’ve had this pump a few years and use it infrequently. Stored gently. Never knocked down. Looks brand new. But now it leaks somewhere – impossible to tell without immersing it – around the joint where tube rotates. I conclude poor design and cheap materials.

I have excellent quality with usage. My only concern is that the cable is a bit thin, so there might be a chance of breaking or destroying the signal if you make a sharp corner in the cable. Don’t use it for travel, but if you just want to hook up your equipment and leave it be, it is perfect. Especially for the price.

Good: The cable was very inexpensive, shipping was fast

Bad: Cable caused terrible screen flicker and aliasing on two different LCD TVs (Toshiba 42″ Regza 1080P and Sharp 42″) from 480P (Panasonic DVD player), 720P/1080i (Motorola cable box) and 1080P (Xbox 360 Elite and Samsung Blue-Ray player) sources.

What can I say it really sucks, a good thing with vacs. Works well so far exactly what I expected it to do from description and cust. reviews. Slightly smaller bags than 19-22 lb. vacs, but I expected that. It cleans well so it is easy to keep vaccing to a min. amt. of crude after going over in the beginning very thoroughly. Stick vac works well for quick pick ups. Have spare belts on hand. Cost of bags, belts and filters reasonable unless I discover in the future that it eats belts, blows out bags or filters at some awful rate. At about a month tho things are going well & bag only changed once. Small house. Tools are adequate, would have liked better upholstery one than it has, but for just under $70, it’s still a very good vac. Could not justify buying higher end model at $250 & up, up, looked at other options in retail stores & they functionally, & tool wise were no better than this one, just a few spiffier things like retractable cords, perks not on a basic, model. This one had great reviews from about 1500 people on Amz. alone, can’t say the same for more expensive models. So thanks Hoover.

I have just now completed a leisurely reading of “Artemis Fowl”. I loved every page of it, too. Now then, I came here to Amazon in order to boy ALL of the books in the series, but then I discovered that this book is supposed to be a children’s series?!?

What? Well, I think not. I am very much an adult, a retired High School Teacher and the proud father of 4 now-grown kids. My wife and kids tell me that I am really just a grown-up kid, but that is only after I spray someone in the yard with the water hose.

This book is great fantasy/adventure reading for adults. Sure, there are some trite phrases, and a decided lack of sex and violence — well, except “cartoon-style” violence … so, OK, I guess it is a “G Rated” book. Personally I am happy with “G” Ratings.

Forthwith I am ordering all books featuring Artemis Fowl and his adventures. The author writes very much in the same vein as Talbot Mundy — a young person’s adventure writer of some years past. I liked it and I am looking forward to reading the rest of Master Fowl’s adventures.
