When my home network got too big, I decided to wall mount a Cat6 patch panel and 1gb router (see my other reviews).

This has been working without problems since I installed it in my home network September 2008. After plugging everything in (I don’t even know what’s on the included CD), I was pleasantly surprised to see that two of our machines (laptops) had 1gb networking.

There are however two things to be aware of:

1) If you wall mount the router like I did, there is not enough clearance behind the unit for the supplied power cable (a normal straight one). Get the slimmest right angle power cable you can find. I needed even a bit more clearance which I achieved by shimming the router away from the face of my 4U wall mount with a few small washers. While not egregious, this was annoying. This could have been easily avoided by the manufacturer, if they had supplied a right angle power cable with the proper clearance.

2) The fan is noisier than any PC or digital device I have in my house. This doesn’t matter to me since it is in my basement, but if for some reason it was in habitated space, it would definitely bother me.

So besides the initial clearance problem, I have no qualms.

Just think: 91 year old, J. D. will live on in teenage land forever! God Bless him for creating such a marvelous read.
I love this book because I can read it once a decade since I first encountered it in high school so many years
ago and like it just the same. Holden is forever lively, silly, young and engaging–and it still makes me
shake my head when I remind myself that the story takes place in the late 1940’s. Goes to show you things
really do not change–especially, the sporadic emotions of teens. But I need to say while Salinger’s little
novel is engaging, it is limited. I can understand why people are questioning its immense popularity.
Holden’s journey is just a “slice of life” and not a full story that merits classic fiction.

In this novel written by Sara Gruen, Water for Elephants is great fun and exciting. The novel is told through the main character, Jacob Jankowski, memory of his younger days working in the Benzini Brother’s circus. He runs away from his “good” life to explore something new. Jacob begins to work at the circus and sees the abuse of the animals and the interesting characters that he meets along the way. The longer he works for the Benzini Brother’s circus, the more drama unfolds and the characters are further exploited as the circus begins to suffer under the affects of the Depression.

In this book, Gruen proved to be a great writer of a romantic and suspenseful novel. The story is well thought out and flows very nicely. The characters feel almost real and were characterized very well. The characters made the book interesting and while Gruen put a lot of effort into making the characters real, the situations she created were real also. This book was hard to put down. If you want a good and exciting read, Water for Elephants should be number one on your list of books to read.

Water for Elephants has a great plot, great characters, and is just great fun to read. I would recommend everyone to read this. Many people of different tastes will find this book very enjoyable. There’s a little bit of everything for someone to get out of the book. This book will add to your intellectual growth and your moral growth. The attention grabbing first couple chapters will definitely pull you in the story immediately. The end of the story closes the novel in such a surprising way, you’ll find the ending is probably the most exciting to read. I’m sure everyone will enjoy reading Water for Elephants.

Hello Obagi M Clenziderm D

I’m another reader who can’t even begin to understand why this book was so popular, or why people rave about Gruen’s writing. I thought the writing was mediocre at best, and that the plot, narration, and dialogue were BORING! Plus, the characters aren’t very likable, and the frequent graphic sex scenes are completely unnecessary. I tried to like this book, and I tried to finish it, but I really couldn’t, on either count.
